I have a 72 x 48 map that I want to print. Frame meter in quartz debug for macbook. When I try to print, it only prints in the upper left quarter of the page (I am using landscape, but for descriptive purposes assume portrait). I am using the basic parameters (4 hexes to the inch, and 1″ all around). I have made sure that it is printing to standard paper, using the automatically selected paper location, and the margins for the printer are still 1″ per side. When I do a print preview, my map is cut up into four pieces, just like it prints out. Other documents on the printer, print normally using the whole page.
I am having exactly the same problem. Makes piecing together a large map quite a challenge.
Are you guys able to install a print-to-pdf driver? There is nitroPDF and others. Sometimes the java integration with your specific print driver is finnicky. If that doesn’t work or you can’t send the file to me at support@inkwellideas.com and how large you’re trying to make the hexes and what dpi.
The programs does not fix some of its own issue, which I think that is needed to be added on their updates, where some fixes can be done by troubleshooting. By the way, some third party may know more how to work on this kind of issue so I you need a printer that can do any kinds of print check out this one http://www.digitekprinting.com/digital-printing.
We’ve added a “print to PDF” feature. So if you go to “File”, in addition to the typical “Print” you will also see a “Print to PDF” menu item which does resize the map as you desire, then slices it up to span multiple pages of a PDF. Then you can print the PDF using adobe or any pdf reader. I hope that helps and makes this easier.
I tried using the “print to PDF” feature and I got the same chopped up image printing out. Is there not a way for the image to resize itself and print on one page? What do I need to do to eliminate all the wasted space? I see there are tons of options and I feel there must be something I am missing.

In Hex1 there was an option to select the area that you want to print/create a pdf.
This does not seem to be present in Hex2 – or am I missing something?
Added the ability to select an area to print to my to-do list. Sorry it isn’t there yet!
